Drishtee

Description:

Drishtee is an India-based company operating a low cost, direct delivery rural supply chain network. It sets up entrepreneurial clusters throughout the rural areas, identifying and training entrepreneurs in creating an eco-system of micro-enterprises, and networks them through pre-defined supply routes based on existing community hubs. This core supply chain delivery model allows for other critical services to likewise ride on this infrastructure. Information Technology kiosks providing computer education, English education, e-governance, health check-ups, and a wide range of consumer goods (including groceries, cosmetics, and mobile phone recharge coupons), and rechargeable torches and batteries for low-income customers within these villages are run by locals, and initial start-up funding provided by microfinance loans.
