We do this by aggregating, processing, and sharing data so that funders, entrepreneurs, and other sector actors can make smarter, more informed decisions. Ayllu has amassed one of the most extensive databases tracking social enterprises in BOP markets, and our web platform has over 15,000 active users.

Ayllu’s global directory tracks over 700 enterprises and funders in 65 countries. Our directory is the most extensive public list, and its growing every day! We aim to make it as easy as possible to search and sort enterprises and funders.
Energy Map
Built with CSTS at Santa Clara University, the Energy Map analyzes 44 ventures targeting 1.6 billion people who are ‘energy poor.’ The map analyzes energy business models, surfacing high-level trends and providing deep company profiles.

The India Map was sponsored by Potencia Ventures. As an impact investor, Potencia seeks to back system-changing new business models, businesses, and institutions to help create the entrepreneurial ecosystem that improves opportunity for the base of the pyramid. Potencia uses a cluster approach to help develop an enabling environment for business that improves life at the base of the pyramid. With this in mind, Potencia hired Ayllu to explore the ‘missing middle ecosystem’ encountered by social enterprises in India, especially those in urban centers. This map is part of Potencia’s investigation of how to most effectively foster scale in this region.
